Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains what information Bluestar Digitech (operated by Blue Star Metacraft, Bangalore, India — "we", "us") collects when you use our digital signage platform: the web dashboard at cms.bluestardigitech.com, the BlueStar DigiTech phone app, the Bluestar OS player on your screens, and this website. It also explains how we use that information and the choices you have.
Who our services are for
The dashboard and phone app are for businesses that use our signage. Accounts are created by us when we set up a client — the app does not offer public sign-up. Our services are not directed at children.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and, if you add them, your phone number, company name, address and profile picture. Your password is stored only as a secure hash.
- Google sign-in: if you choose "Sign in with Google", Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us so we can match you to your account. We do not receive your Google password.
- Content you upload: images, videos and other media, playlists, schedules and screen groups.
- Screen and device information: for each screen you connect — its name, location label, a device identifier, online status, player version, storage used, playback statistics and activity logs (for example when it came online or went offline, and errors).
- Billing information: licence details, invoices and the billing name, address and GST number you provide. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's payment page and handled by Razorpay; we receive only a payment reference and status.
- Support and enquiries: what you write to us in support tickets, and the details you send through the enquiry form on this website (name, company, email, phone, city and your message).
- Security records: sign-in times and a log of important account actions, including the IP address they came from.
Camera and video features
The phone app asks for camera access only to scan the pairing QR code shown on a screen; you can type the code instead. If video calls or camera monitoring are turned on for your account, video and audio travel directly between the devices in the call. We do not record calls or store the video.
How we use information
- To provide the service: sign you in, store and deliver your content to your screens, and show you their status.
- To bill you and keep the invoices the law requires.
- To send service emails: account invitations, password resets, receipts, renewal reminders and alerts you have turned on (such as a screen going offline).
- To answer support requests and enquiries.
- To keep the platform secure and fix problems.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. The dashboard, app and player contain no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the platform, each handling the data for us and for that purpose alone:
- Cloud hosting and storage for our servers, database and your media files (including Cloudflare).
- Razorpay, to process payments.
- Google, for "Sign in with Google" and for sending our emails.
We may also disclose information if Indian law requires it.
Where it is stored and how it is protected
Information is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Access to your account's data is limited to you, people you add to your organisation, and our staff when needed to provide support. Our service providers may store data on servers outside India.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. When you ask us to close your account, we delete its content, screens and logs; we may keep invoices and payment records for as long as Indian tax law requires. Device activity logs for removed screens and accounts are deleted automatically.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your profile in the dashboard or app at any time.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data (how to delete your account). Email us from your account's address and we will respond within 30 days.
- You can turn off optional emails such as offline alerts in Settings.
Delete your account and data
This applies to accounts in the BlueStar DigiTech app and the web dashboard (they are the same account).
- Email [email protected] from the email address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account". If you only want some data removed (for example your media files), say which.
- We confirm the request with you, then delete the account within 30 days and email you when it is done.
What is deleted: your account and profile, your media files, playlists, schedules, screen groups, screens and their activity logs, support tickets and video-call records. Screens linked to your account are released and go back to showing a pairing code.
What is kept: invoices and payment records, for as long as Indian tax law requires (GST records), and a security log of important account actions. These are not used for anything else.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we will update the date above and let account holders know by email or in the dashboard.
